Reconciliation and NAIDOC Program 2018

May 24 - July 13

The City of Salisbury as part of a combined program, is holding a variety of events to celebrate both Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week. Reconciliation Week 2018 National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June 2018) celebrates and builds on the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. Held across Australia each July, NAIDOC Week celebrates the achievements and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The theme for NAIDOC Week 2018 (8 - 15 July) is: Because of her, we can! SALA Workshop – Pastels with Bill Truslove

August 18 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Progressing with Pastels. The aim of this workshop is to show the students the various ways of painting with pastels. Cross hatching, glazing, blending without using the fingers. It will include, using the primary and complementary colours, how to use the colour wheel to create harmony and using the tonal scale to provide balance. We will be working from photographs, so interpreting and adjusting the subject to enable the students to complete a  painting that looks as though it has…

Salisbury Writers’ Festival 2018

Salisbury Writers’ Festival offers a smorgasbord of local and national talent – some with international reputations. Offering writing enthusiasts and book lovers the opportunity to interact in a variety of workshops, aimed at developing writing skills and providing a chance to meet and learn from some of the best writers in the business. 2018 Aussie Era Salisbury Car Show

Salisbury Food and Cultural Festival
